Additional costs from February 2026
Additional fees are now being added to some grooms as required
We feel that every dog deserves to be pampered but unfortunately some of our furry friends don't feel the same way. As a result of this , if your dog should need an additional member of staff to assist throughout the groom then there will be an additional £20 charge. This charge goes towards protecting the groomers and the dogs themselves from injury. It also helps with not delaying the appointment time for the next customer. Obviously this charge goes towards paying additional staff to support our groomers. The need for an additional member of staff on a groom comes mainly from dogs who are scared after maybe having a bad experience previously at a groomers ,if the dog is on edge or if the dog is very badly matted. We do all we can to work one on one on every dog but unfortunately its just not always possible. We do have a number of dogs who require sedation to visit the groomers or vets. We are also being forced to introduce a £15 matting charge from now to account for wear and tear on expensive equipment for dogs who are badly matted. Regular brushing and regular grooming goes a long way to avoid matting. As always we will do all we can to keep your groom cost to a minimum but we cannot carry on absorbing the costs of additional staff for dogs who need extra support. We hope you understand.
